The galvanized frame was open, inspected and was in excellent
condition, so after a good clean up; it was undercoated, axles
painted and all bearings and moving parts renewed, new fuel sending
unit and gasket, shocks etc...

rust from coming back there.

The windshield bay tend to rust very often on Citroën 2CVs, I replaced
the lower portion and the hood hinge too.

All the sheet metal for the engine and black pieces were sandblasted,
primed and painted black again or silver for the battery tray...

In order to replace the floors and to make sure the car will fit
the frame again, the Citroën was reinstalled on the frame, the front
fenders and panels reattached and the new floors installed and welded.

I am very happy with the result and how that restoration turned
out. It's a beautiful car and fun to drive.
The 2010 project will be quite different: a 1972 citroën 2CV
fougonnette AKA250.
